We can’t really believe it, but Coby is now well over a month old! Where has that time gone!?!
The little fella is getting bigger and bigger now and is so aware of his surroundings! He can now easily hold his neck up and have a good look around, and he can also very easily push with his arms to push himself away from you (when holding on to him). He has lovely big eyes that seem to be taking everything in and cute dimples (exactly like his Mummy!).
In the last week, he has started smiling and it is so cute when he does this as it makes him look very cheeky indeed! He usually smiles when Kelly is holding him out in front of her and talking to him. He definitely has the cheekiest grin ever! He has also just started making babbling noises, usually when he is lying down on the play mat. He looks around and then for no reason makes some noises – sometimes even a sort of shout! 😉
He has got a lot longer now as well, and he has chunky and strong thighs, and still has plenty of wind!! No matter what time of day, he has wind, so he must take after his Daddy! 😉
Sleeping has been a bit of a nightmare really though. He didn’t sleep well on his first 2 or 3 nights in the World, but he then did really well for quite a long time, but over the past week he has been a nightmare to put down during the middle to late part of the night. This last week, we have taken him out of his Moses basket and put his little crib up – hoping it would help – but it hasn’t really. It is strange as for the the first part of the night, he sleeps really well. This is usually from about 9pm to about 1pm, but after that, he struggles to relax again unless he is being cuddled. This has obviously led to some sleepless nights recently.
I am glad to say that his being sick a lot seems to have eased now. Since he started feeding properly from Kelly, he was always quite sick after, as if he had eaten too much or had trapped wind causing it to come back up, but over the last couple of days, this has reduced a lot thank goodness. In means a lot less washing as well!
