Illness

During the recent school half term, all of the boys got ill, but Coby was especially bad. He had a very high temperature which led Kelly to take him to the doctors. The doctor couldn’t find anything particularly wrong with him but he was apparently starting to show signs of an ear infection, so she prescribed some antibiotics to stop it from taking hold.  Unfortunately, Coby had one taste of the medicine and wouldn’t take anymore, even with Calpol which he has always had. Kelly and I tasted it as well and it tasted absolutely horrible, so no wonder he wouldn’t have it! We even tried mixing it in with his drinks but he soon cottoned on to that and refused his drinks as well!  So he remained ill for well over a week with a temperature that would come and go, and he wouldn’t really eat much either, and wouldn’t really sleep in his bed. Eventually though, his body sorted itself out and he got better, but he still hasn’t really taken any medicine since, even though he has needed it on occasions! Luckily, we have managed to get it in him when he has had a strawberry milkshake, but he is still very hesitant now!
