Coby’s first school report was very good! He is doing well in most things apart from his speech although he is gradually getting there now and his teacher, Mrs Vanstone, spoke to Kelly last week during the last week of term to say that since the report was written, she has noticed a big improvement in him! So his report would have been even better if it was written a little bit later. He is good at Maths and can count to very high numbers now, very easily, and his reading is coming on nicely. The more he reads the better he should be with his speech so we need to sit down with him and read more, when we get a chance! Anyway, Coby has come along well during the year and does, occasionally, have hot dinner that isn’t Jacket Potato and beans! He has been naughty a few times though, and has been in the ‘red’ on the chart but the teachers have just said that all the children have off days. It was only a couple of times though around Easter time, but he seems to have come through that period now and is a bit calmer and better behaved. He still likes to talk loudly though!! Typically, he won’t have Miss Bowyer in Year 1 as she has been moved up to Year 2, which was really annoying as she is an excellent teacher and would have helped Coby loads, as she did with Ben and Aaron. Hopefully, he may get her in Year 2 though, but we will have to wait and see. Instead, he has a new teacher, who is apparently nice as Ben has had her a few times helping out his class, so fingers crossed! We just can’t believe that Coby has completed foundation already – where has that year gone!!
