Yesterday, Coby had his first speech and language session at school. The task for the session was to go over words starting with ‘sm’ and ‘sn’ such as smoke, snow, snake, etc. He apparently did very well and was given a folder and some sheets with these words on to practise at home. So he got them out for me last night and went through them and he could say them all perfectly. I was amazed but very proud of him. It shows that, when he is thinking and concentrating on the word and sound, he can say it with no issues. He just has to remember to make the correct sound when he is in normal conversation. He has 5 lessons in total, each Monday, so it should hopefully help him loads but his general speech is improving now (finally), he just needs to remember the sounds on some words and not fall back into laziness by saying them how he used to say them!
