Christmas At School

Due to Covid-19, Christmas at school this year has not been the same as usual as they haven’t been able to put on the usual nativity or carol service or run the Christmas Fayre.  The one thing that Coby was able to do was to still have his Christmas meal, but KS1 were the only group of children that could do this, so Aaron missed out completely!  He isn’t keen on roast anyway so didn’t eat it all but was pleased to have a cracker to pull and got a purple plastic ring out of it, which he wore around the house all evening!  It was a shame about the nativity though, as it would have been his last one before moving into KS2 where they do a carol service instead.  This was a little bit upsetting as it means no more nativities for us to go and see. ;-( Oh well!  During lessons, he has been doing Christmassy things as well and instead of the nativity and carol service, the school organised each class to sing all or part of a carol which they then recorded.  They then put the recordings together and sent to the parents, so at least they did something.  These past few days, Coby hasn’t really done any work, but has been having Christmas fun in class!
