Coby's Blog Year 3 Swimming with Mummy

Swimming with Mummy

I took Coby swimming a couple of times, straight after he finished pre-school on a Wednesday at midday. He ate a packed lunch in the car on the way.

Coby has taken a real shine to swimming since we went camping at the Monkey Tree and we were able to use the outdoor pool.  He especially likes to play with a ball in the water and usually wears his back float and an inflatable ring.  His confidence is certainly growing and he was getting braver and took off the ring.  He can now stand and reach the bottom on his own in the learner pool at Meadowlands and he thought that this was fun, being able to walk along the bottom on his own.

Coby likes to play in the bubbles and has a go at jumping in from the side, but he still doesn’t like water being splashed in his face!

The weather was warm and sunny after our last swim, so we treated ourselves to an ice lolly in the cafe after!
