Last week, and most of the weekend before, Coby was ill as he had picked up the horrible sickness bug that was going around school, and that Ben also had at the same time. It got to a point in school that if 5 more children were off ill, they were going to close the school, as on the Monday last week, there were 9 teachers off and only 13 out of 60 children in school from foundation! Crazy! It started off during Saturday night with an awful cough but then he was sick several times and had very runny poo. The poor chap had never had a sickness bug before, so he didn’t know what was happening, so he was crying a lot. On the Sunday, he wasn’t very good all morning and didn’t have anything to eat hardly at all all day. He dozed on the sofa for most of the afternoon and so stayed home from school on the Monday. He did seem better by Monday evening, so he went back to school on Tuesday, only to come home after school with a temperature and a bad cold and cough. At least the sickness and upset tummy had passed by then! He stayed home on Wednesday and Thursday, along with Aaron who was also ill, but went back on Friday, as he was much better and it was foundation’s Teddy Bears Picnic, so he didn’t want to miss that. He has only now started to eat well again, as he just didn’t have an appetite much of last week and over the weekend. He still has a chest cough though, but hopefully that will pass over the next few days and he won’t catch anything else now!
