Plymouth Kolts Under 6’s Developmental Team

Coby has now started his weekly training with Plymouth Kolts Under 6’s at GOALS on a Tuesday between 6 and 7pm. He is loving it!! 😉

He has been going for 3 weeks now and last week (the 2nd week training), he won the Player of the Week trophy for ‘outstanding footwork in the dribbling drill’.  He was chuffed to bits to get it! He does need to calm down a little bit though, as he is so excited every week and sees it all as a competition between each of the 6 boys that have joined, especially with Ali! He needs to realise that it is a team game not an individual competition! haha That said, he is definitely one of the best players as he has all the skill for his age and can tackle hard and kick the ball well. Coby and Ali, as they are good mates at school, always want to be on the same team but are heated rivals if they are on the opposite teams so the coach has already made sure he doesn’t pit them together! haha

The coach, Dave, has been great with them so far and has lived up to his billing as a good coach for the younger children. Marcus, one of Ben’s coaches, is there on a Tuesday as well and he has spoken to Coby and asked him how he has got on (and has also spoken to Ben of course!). It all seems a really good setup and we are so pleased that both Ben and Coby are enjoying their Plymouth Kolts teams!

Next week, Coby will have officially signed up and he will then receive his official Plymouth Kolts training kit, which he is very excited about as you can imagine! He will look awesome in it and with the other boys all dressed up professionally! haha
