Coby took part in trials at school to be in the year 3 football team and he got in! Yippee!
The school team ended up being comprised of Plymouth Kolts, Inter City and Plymouth Utd players, which was interesting! There is a big rivalry between Kolts and Inter City as nearly all the players of both teams are in Bickleigh school so they play against each other during break times which has resulted in a few incidents and also with their teams in the league outside of school.
Even so, they managed to get along OK for the school team and took part in a few tournaments at Manadon Hub but against year 4 and year 3 and year 4 mixed teams, whereas they played solely as year 3. This obviously put them at a disadvantage as they were up against teams with much more experienced players. However, they put up a good fight and did actually win a couple of games throughout the course of the few tournaments which will help them for year 4 when they should be near the top end of the standings.
Coby played in several positions throughout the games and did very well although he didn’t manage to score a goal, which was a shame.
