Coby's Blog Year 1 Throwing Things, Hitting and Babbling

Throwing Things, Hitting and Babbling

Well, the last few weeks have been very interesting with Coby! For some reason, he has started throwing things now, including his plate with his tea on! I am not sure where he has got this from, but it is quite funny to watch sometimes, as he will throw something and then look at it quizzically as if to say ‘go on, do something then!’. It is obviously not funny when he throws his plate full of food on to the floor!

He has also started hitting now, and we can only blame this on him watching Ben and Aaron together, as they are always winding each other up and hitting each other!  So Coby just comes along, and hits you for no reason! He has even hit Aaron on his face/head on several occasions, and made him cry, especially when he has hit him with a toy or remote control! Tut!

Finally, in the last 3 weeks, Coby has very noticeably started trying to form words. On several occasions, Kelly and I have stopped and looked at him as it has sounded like he has said a proper word. He can say Mummy and Daddy now, and almost can say Cat, but he is constantly babbling to himself as if deep in conversation. He does this to us as well, as if he is in a full conversation with us.

Coby is certainly growing up, but growing up too fast!

Oh, and he still isn’t sleeping properly at night ;-(
