Last week was Coby’s 1st birthday! We have no idea where that year has gone!!!!
I took the day off work for his birthday, but Ben and Aaron both had full days at school, so we quickly tried to open his presents before school started. We managed to get through a few, but Coby wasn’t really interested, and wanted to play with the balloons more! We didn’t have chance to open all his presents, so we finished them off with him once we had got back from dropping the other two at school.
His main presents were a Mega Bloc table (with some mega blocs), a ride on scooter, a Toot Toot driver set, a little book, some clothes, a Thomas The Tank Engine jigsaw and a couple of other things. Kelly also made him a nice birthday cake with a little bear made out of icing on top.
As his Nan Nan and Pops were going away over the weekend, they popped in for a couple of hours in the early afternoon, along with Alex and Caleb, and gave Coby his presents, that included a Toot Toot Driver Fire Engine, some 1st shoes from Claa magnetic drawing pad and some more Toot Toot Driver track (which was from Charlotte and her gang).
When they had gone we went to pick Ben and Aaron up from school and went over to Drakes Den for Coby’s birthday treat. We had some food there as well and all had a lovely time playing in the play equipment. Coby had a great time as well and enjoyed it playing around in the toddler area, and also in the basketball/football court, where we were all kicking the soft balls around. Luckily, it was fairly quiet there, so it was quite relaxed.
When we got home, about 6pm, we lit his birthday cake and all had a piece. We tried to get Coby to blow his candle out, but he wanted to touch it instead! The cake was lovely and Coby scoffed a bit as well. 😉
All in all, we had a really nice day for his 1st birthday, but just can’t believe he is 1 already!
The following day, we went to Grandma’s house (as it was her birthday) and Coby had some more presents there from various people. These included a set of magnetic cars and clothes from Uncle Darren and Aunty Marina, and a Noah’s Ark, Pillow Pet and clothes from Gramps, Nanny Helen and Bec.
Thanks to everyone who gave him something for his birthday!
Here are some pics from the day.
